Dingle Couple Session
We asked the question? “Do you mind heading out in the elements?” It is a fair question to ask when a couple are planning their Dingle couple session, it’s Ireland after all. To which a year previously Sara had said not at all, they loved being outdoors!
Fast forward a year later. In a tiny village cafe just outside of Dingle, we sit across from Sara in her luscious pastel blue gown and Kevin in his Irish tweeds. The pair all loved up as only newly weds can be. Over from the states on Honeymoon. Laughing and chatting, oblivious to to those around us trying to figure out what our situation was. Which is understandable really. As much as Kevin and Sara had dressed for a ball my self and Sean were dressed to do battle with the North Sea!
The plan was to climb up Mount Brandon. We had planned it for a year, the excitement levels were unreal. Typically, Ireland was in the midst of one of its epic storms. I looked out the streaming window as trees bent to the wind and coyly asked again….. “Do you mind going out in the elements……?” Clearly, today it was too dangerous to climb Dingle’s tallest peek. We laughed nonetheless at the situation, making new plans. Sara and Kevin had come to us all the way from the Pittsburgh for a Dingle couple session and rain or hail that is what they were going to get!
So in the face of 35mp hour icy cold winds and driving rain we ran around the lakes. Sean and myself could barely hold the camera steady for the rain. Yet here these two were, having beautiful little moments, gentle kisses and lovers whispers like they were there alone on a spring sunhiney day.
I swear for a moment the weather stopped. Everything faded away until there were only these two.
