Romantic Irish Wedding

Lisa and Gavin like ourselves have a love of music and met at one of our favourite music festivals in Ireland, Electric Picnic. It was at Electric Picnic that the charming Gavin asked Lisa to marry him. They wanted to bring that fun festival vibe to their wedding day. When Lisa and Gavin invited us to join them in the stunning and unique grounds of Ballintubbert House for their garden ceremony, we could see why and instantly fell in love with the place. The pair wished for an outside ceremony reflecting all elements they love, sunshine or rain! On the morning of the wedding the grounds and cottages were filled with the most incredible sound check. Quiet often at times people could be heard singing along from different parts of the gardens. As well as beautiful melodies there were many heartfelt readings from family and friends on of our favourites being a quote from the end of “Love Actually”

“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge – they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.”

It was an incredibly relaxed day and we are lead to believe that the partying continued well into the first light… in proper festival form!
